How It Feels To Have a Stroke

Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor had an opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: One morning, she realized she was having a massive stroke. As it happened -- as she felt her brain functions slip away one by one, speech, movement, understanding -- she studied and remembered every moment. This is a powerful story about how our brains define us and connect us to the world and to one another.

Excuse me but you only stepped to the right of your left hemisphere because you had an enormous blood clot. Now, how is this done without a blood clot? It seems the emergency brought you there and nothing else. If there is a way to make this work, I don't get the point. It sounds like you could not even walk about in the other "right" side completely. Half of your brain worked and that wasn't enough so...I still don't know what happened to you. it sounds like your left side, what little worked of it still was what saved you.

I've seen this before and it makes complete sense...
